It took six hours for the Playtonic Games’ spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie to accomplish the feat, beating the previous Kickstarter record of seven hours held by Torment: Tides of Numenara, as spotted by a NeoGAF poster.

It is great to know, and hang out with the host and network curator to RedRock PodCast NetWork! Consisting of: The Shiznit Show - HoopLA - The Pod of Thrones: The Shiznit Show which is a talk show that covers everything from celebrity gossip to serious social issues with a whole lot of funny thrown in.
We have such a good time with Dino when he comes through! We get all caught up with what’s going down in L.A., and we get to debate different points of view, especially when it comes to Madonna. Hopefully we can get Dino on the Chonilla podcast a few more times, before he blows up and forgets all about us!
This man is the host and producer of Single Simulcast. He is the creator, producer, and voice actors on Sin and Solace, and he is one-third of the greatest group of podcasters you know, The Dr3am Team. He is a father of four, a basketball coach, a lover and a fighter, and an all around groovy cat.
Without any further ado, the 15th wonder of the world (behind Twix Ice Cream Bars, Twitter Beefs, old episodes of Gangland and his family) and a master of both hubris and baiting, Rashanii!
We always have a good time chopping it up with our friend Rashanii!
Mia is one of our favorite listeners, and has shown us a lot of love at the early stages of the Chonilla podcast. As a matter of fact, I think she was our very first caller of all time, and left us such a heart warming message. You could feel how much she was enjoying the show, and that meant everything to us. We feel very close to Mia, and we love getting caught up with her latest and greatest, both on and off the mics
Chaslyn: 28, Jacksonville, FL Michael: 27, Fredericksburg, VA Together: We’ve been together for a little over 7 years and Married a little of 2 years.
How did it start? & What was your first impression of your partner?
Chaslyn: We honestly didn’t pay much attention to each other initially. We had a mutual friend and would see each other in passing. We didn’t really notice each other until I skipped class (College) one day to hang out with our said mutual friend at Mike’s house and we haven’t been apart since.
When did you first know you are falling in love?
Chaslyn: I (Chas) knew when we faced our first crossroads as a couple, within the first 3 months of our relationship, and there was a choice of either breaking up or moving in together, and the thought of him not being in my life felt devastating.
Mike said he knew once he didn’t want me to leave his house. I guess immediately? Lol!
What has been the response from your family and/or friends about your relationship?
Chaslyn: They’re all for it.
They are for it NOW lol, but there was initial hesitation. My (Chas) Dad was not about this life (lol) at first because of the societal pressures or issues we may face, but now he looks at Mike as his son and would come for anyone who has something to say.
Mike’s family was more progressive.
Have you ever received a negative or strange comment as an interracial couple? If so, what was your reaction?
Chaslyn: Yes, we randomly get looks from older people, like 60’s and older, but for the most part not really. Our first comment after starting our YT Channel was “creative” and made us laugh, honestly, but overall not as bad as my parents made me to believe it would be when I was growing up. (They were born in the 50’s pre-integration in Georgia, if that gives you any context.)
Ever tried the cuisine from your partners’ culture? If yes, what is your favourite dish?
Chaslyn: Yes, Mike’s Mom is really healthy and her food is seasoned exceptionally. Her lamb and guacamole is BOMB!
Mike says he likes all Southern cooking lol.
On the Fun side what stereotype(s) have you found to be TRUE and/or FALSE with your partner?
Chaslyn:
True stereotypes: Chas Talking: White people run towards danger (think horror films); The call of the Outdoors, like wanting to hunt own meat or chop own wood, just DIY outdoorsy lol; Not caring about style / appearance; I don’t really know, Mike grew up opposite of me, so his Hood Card has many of mileage stamps. I grew up in a Jewish part of town :/
Mike:
False: White people don’t understand/ feel racism/ get racist acts upon them.
Mike:
True: Black girls got the head roll when they are mad. They can cook. DON’T TOUCH THE HAIR. Don’t like pumpkin pie nearly as much as sweet potato. No matter what if a black person sees another they gotta give them the head nod to recognize they are there. There are more but Chaslyn would kill me if I kept going.
False: The “Angry Black Woman” thing.
What do you think is the key to a strong relationship?
Chaslyn: Communication and NOT pushing the other person’s buttons that you know are there.
What is the best advice you have ever received from your BF/GF/Wife/Husband?
Chaslyn and Michael: LET IT GO!

As your father, it is my duty to protect you and your sisters, to be sure you are free from physical and emotional harm during your childhood. It’s my job to make sure you are equipped with all the tools I’ve used to navigate the grown up world.
Fatherhood has presented me with some exciting and scary challenges over the years, and you have helped me be a much better father more than I could have ever predicted. And even though, I wrestle with my own insecurities every day, I want to eliminate that cycle of putting my baggage on to you, as my father did with me. I promise to always make myself available to you for anything, and more importantly, I promise to never lie to you. When needed, I will always share with you my personal experiences (age appropriate of course) to help you gain a better perspective to any confusion you may be faced with while growing up, and continuing on into adulthood.
Having said this, (deep breath) I will always be there for you my son… and this next part is the kick-start of an ongoing and sometimes unpleasant conversation we need to have… You need to know that racism is real, and my personal experience with racism will be different from yours. You will experience racism from a black male perspective, which is something I have never experienced. I promise that if you have questions about racism, I will make sure you get the answers you deserve.
Again, it is my duty to prepare you as best I can… So I encourage you to reach out to our friends and family who have firsthand experience with being a black man. You can always count on your uncle Wilson, uncle Gerry, along with Grandpa Joseph, and any of my friends to make time for you.
I am so proud that you are my son. You have brought me more joy than you can imagine. You are everything to me, and I will always love you, no matter what!
So back in November Staples Canada challenged The “Chonilla” Family to find the Ultimate Holiday Movie. So we got our ourselves ready, Popcorn check, hot chocolate check, blankets check, floor foam mattress check.
Oh yeah it was a lot of snack happening during that month and there is NO WAY mama is gonna further damage an old L-Couch.
Now agreeing in a movie to watch surprisingly we all got along really well in making a decision as a unit on what to watch, the extra challenge is engaging a 14-year-old boy to watch together as a family, so he was able to stay the entire movie and some he would check out. To be honest at times Hubby and I wanted to check out but we made a pack as parents to stick to it for the little ones.
Okay so a summary on how it went watching these four contenders. The first:
Elf (2003) - Cast: Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart and more…
As per IMDB: After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity.
The girls had a chance to watch this with me (Mom) while dad was coming home from work and the teen was into it from the middle till the end of the movie. It’s out families favourite to get into the Xmas spirit. **** 4 stars
As per IMDB: One year after Kevin was left home alone and had to defeat a pair of bumbling burglars, he accidentally finds himself in New York City, and the same criminals are not far behind. Did you know there is was a video game in Super Nintendo, HA!
The girls had a chance to watch this with Mom and Dad and the Teen was not into it from the beginning, so he bounce and I was really surprised, the girls attention to the movie was super low, I think it lasted for about 30 minutes their attention span on this one before they started climbing the couch. It was the first time they seen this franchise (the girls that is not our son) I guess we should have started with the first one. ** 2 stars
As per IMDB: Frosty the Snowman goes where he is needed most, and the town of Evergreen sure needs a visit. Mr. Tinkerton, the mayor, runs a tight ship, and there’s no room for talk of magic or any other such nonsense. But, when Frosty the Snowman blows through town, he shows the town’s children that magic is real.
This movie, well, the Teen also bounce on this one but man the girls we’re really into this movie. And the whole time hubby and I are watching this movie we could not help to think how much Frosty’s voice sounded really familiar to us and it click this is Patrick Star voice from Sponge Bob. It was hard for us (dad and mom) to focus on this story and hubby breaking down the animation in the film (that’s what happen when you are with someone who animates for a living for the past decade). Overall this film was a success with the girls. ** 3 stars
The winner and ultimate holiday movie is Ernest Saves Christmas (1998)
Cast: Cast: Jim Varney, Douglas Seale, Oliver Clark and more…
As per IMDB: Ernest helps Santa Claus as he searches for his successor.
This is the only movie the entire we laugh, had fun, enjoyed every single minute and we’re glued to what was streaming on the Rolu 3 including the Teen. And man oh man Jim Varney is a genius in timing, facial expression and comedy I suspect this actor was somewhat an influence on Jim Carrey. Did you know Jim was a trained Shakespearean actor.
There you have it our winner Ernest Saves Christmas (1998).
