• Latrecia: I am 30
• Mike: Mike is 29 ( I'm robbing the cradle lol!)

How did you two meet and what was your first impression(s)?

• Latrecia: We met while working a Food Lion, I thought Mike was a cute white guy. Mike thought I was cute and I had a nice smile.

How long you have been together?

• Latrecia: We have been together for 12 years.

What has been the response from your families and friends in regards to dating outside of your race?

• Latrecia: My family liked Mike from day one. Mike comes from a very "traditional" southern family and it took them a while to get used to the ideal.

On the funny side: What stereotype(s) have you found to be true or false?

• Latrecia: Mike will wear shorts and sandals with socks in 20 degree weather.
• Mike Latrecia puts hot sauce on everything and if a restaurant doesn't have her favorite brand she has a small bottle in her purse.

What advice would you have for someone thinking to get into or newly entered in an IR relationship?

• Latrecia: Don't worry about what other people think, if the person you are interested in feels the same way go for it!

What have you learn from one another or the best advice you have ever received from your partner?

• Latrecia: Mike has taught me to relax and not worry or stress out about every thing.
• Mike: Latrecia has helped me realized it is ok to be emotional.

​Thanks so much for considering us. Mike and I have been together since we were teenagers. After being friends for about a year, and with some encouragement from his boys Mike finally asked me out on our first date. We went to the mall and he bought me a shirt that I still wear from time to time. That was 12 years ago and we have been together ever since. In that time we have had a 4 year old that drives us crazy : ). Again thanks for considering us.
