  • My family against interracial dating?
    • I’m a white male dating a black female, and my family is against it (especially my father). I informed my mother about me dating her, and she told my aunt. My mother and aunt don’t like the fact that I’m dating her, but will continue to let me. They just don’t want her over at our home, or in any of the cars they own. They claim to not be racist, saying they have nothing against black people, it’s just the way they were raised that made them form this view. I’m confused, because they can’t seem to give me a good reason other than the fact that their father was against it, thus turning them against interracial dating (blacks/whites).The main problem I’m having is the fact that I have to tell my dad (mom/dad are divorced, he lives about an hour away), and he’s STRONGLY against it. My mother and aunt are going to make me tell my father about it, and they claim that when I do I’m going to lose him, and this is scaring me. Do you guys have any suggestions?
